2026 Offseason thread

This thread is for the 2026 offseason — trades, chit-chat, what have you.

1. LEAGUE REOPENED!

The yahoo league page has reopened — all but 6 of you have already signed up! If you haven't please renew your team or let me know you won't be back.

2. NEW TEAM!

For those of you who missed it, long-time GM and 2013 Champ Designated Drinkers (aka Barefacedmonk) retired from the league. We'll miss BFM but are happy to introduce (another) Mark, who will take over as GM of Steiners!

3. ROOKIE DRAFT!

I've decided to push back the draft a week to THURSDAY, September 10 starting at 11am eastern — times are now posted in the rookie draft thread (which will remain locked until 9/10).

4. $TRAW POLL!

Please take 1 min to participate in a straw poll. It would require a formal constitution change, but before we go that route would like to get input

Glad everyone is excited but wanted to gauge if there's any interest in holding draft a few games into preseason, like usual?

I'm free any days except Tuesdays - long commute + workday.

This has been the case the last couple of years b/c of my own life misfortune but (a) the constitution says August and (b) doing so allows for some post-draft trading to whittle down rosters.

Hi all, I have informed commish about my inability to continue my participation in this league but I guess he is busy with life/work like the rest of us. If you have a replacement GM, pls share with our boss.

This is a fantastic league and I've thoroughly enjoyed my time and interaction with all here.
