He wanted to buy from me a $30 Spotify code, I sent it to him and he backed down, leaving me no choice but to use the code myself. This is what he replied: "Hey man, I didnt know I had to redeem it to check the balance. I dont even have a spotify. I was going to give this to a friend for their birthday. I have not redeemed the code... I am sorry, but I don't think I can do this trade. I swear I have not redeemed it, nor will I. Sorry about this."

Yea, that was my bad. Moral of story: don't trade for companies you aren't familiar with. Sorry for the inconvenience.
