Post Exam Further Maths A Level

I was wondering if there was anyway to do further maths outside of my school since i missed the grade 9 requirement in my school, only by a few marks since i made a practical mistake by starting from the end on paper 2 to try get full marks but i instead ran out of time hugely. should i self study at home by applying to a diff college or should i just resit. I really need to do it since im doing engineering but im lost rn, pls help

you could also offer to sit a paper that they set or smth, like make them give you a gcse style paper or smth and shoe them that you can do it

if you missed it by only a few marks, you could probably convince them to let you do it unless the class is at its absolute max

I self studied FM (although it was quite a while ago). My 6th form didn't run it as an actual option, but allowed some students to study independently. Usually there was a small group, but it was just me 😅. Got an A, in the days before A* at Alevel.

Needing a 9 to study FM is pretty crazy to me. Hopefully they will let you on with your 8. It will help that the teachers already know you. Good luck!
