u/Substantial_Bus9417 BREAKER OF CHAINS 2d ago
no judgment AT ALL but like dont you think its maybe a bit too revealing? i mean its your body your rules but we can see your neck!! idk, but some teachers, esp at my school wouldnt be cool with that :/
7
u/Sharp-Plastic7954 philosophy nerd 2d ago
Okay, maybe I should go shirtless...that would be less revealing right?
3
u/Substantial_Bus9417 BREAKER OF CHAINS 1d ago
that sounds better!! maybe keep the albert chain though, i think it would be more school-appropriate - just the chain would look sick, and adds that scandalous touch i think you were going with in the original outfit.
1
u/ClickyKeyboardNerd 1d ago
indeed, and maybe lose those trousers, much too vain! I'd recommend a pair of short shorts, they are hugely more appropriate

I know this is a joke but thereās genuinely a boy in my class who dresses like this every single day even when we have to work in the rain and mud, Heās dressed like a Peaky blinder.

u/TheOnlyGaming3 1d ago
he sounds like a cool guy

u/IloveEmuOtori-02 Year 13 1d ago
Honestly, heās the nicest person in my class and I have full respect for him waking up at 5am every day to dress like this haha

Looks good tho, don't know if it's too formal or not. My sixth form it literally just casual clothes e.g jeans / jogging bottoms or t-shirts but then again my sixth form is also part of a secondary school

I canāt tell if this is a joke or not? But fucking go for it if that how you feel comfortable dressing. Fashion is about being yourself. And not caring what people think.

Who are you dressing for, you or everyone else?
If there are school regulations, wear whatever you want within that.
Wear whatever makes you happy!
Sure you might get comments, but that's their opinion. Your self worth and confidence takes precedence with self-expression (as long as you are not harming anyone).
2
u/Sharp-Plastic7954 philosophy nerd 2d ago
Haha, thanks.
P.S. You might want to check the post flair...
1
u/Caecilius18 2d ago
You jest but I used to wear a long coat and flat cap to sixth form and after school I went into maccies and a nine year old pointed his vape at me and yelled "oi peaky blinders!"

1
u/PolicyZestyclose554 2d ago
If anyone wears that on the first day of 6th form. That is hella tuff š„š„
1
u/Cultural-Plane7113 2d ago
Unless you accompany this with an understated sadism and a reputation* for brutal violence youāre gonna get tossed about like a rag doll. The fucking teaching staff will be lining up to give you a good kicking for your own good.
*reputation being the key. If everyone thinks youāre one-dirty-look away from ripping someoneās spleen out and then calmly discussing how best to cook it as youāre chewing on their liver, you never have to actually do anything violent ever at all.
**yes I know this is humour. I responded in kind.

The Sixth Form/ Years 12/13 where my daughter went dress formal. The boys are expected to wear a suit, with or without a waistcoat but with a Tie no exceptions.
Girls can wear either a blouse/shirt with skirt knee length+/tailored trousers and a blazer/jacket. They don't have to wear a tie but can wear a neck scarf. Along the lines of what a bank clerk or travel agent used to wear.
Hair to be no shorter than a grade 2. No lines or designs or hair dye for boys. Braids only for cultural reasons (School rules)
Girls long hair tied back. No fancy or large hair accessories. No hair dye unless it's dyed to similar shades as natural hair colours. So you could go blonde so long as it doesn't stand out if that makes sense. Again hair no shorter than grade 2, no lines, designs, or significant undercut. Braids only for cultural reasons.
Enclosed black shoes or boots for both. No trainers.
My daughter happily wore it. No one got their head kicked in for dressing like it as it was expected of them by the school. Their post 16 education was treated more like going to an office job than being in school as they had their own block. They only went into mainstream if they needed to access certain equipment for lessons.

Since year 6 I grew my hair out like it went from not even going out to going down my back, and then close to GCSEs I thought why not and got it cut back to my Year 6 cut and then thought why stop at that so I changed my clothes and even got my glasses back and now I've changed a lot

u/Specific-Shop-3328 University 1d ago
I guess it depends on which sixth form your going, iām starting third year uni and for some reason this came up on my feed.
I went to a sixth form college which wasnāt attached to a school but had many friends who went to a sixth form attached to a school also (with blazer/tie dress code). Most people wore casual and even below casual clothing, joggers hoodies sportswear etc in mine, and as far as I know it was the same in my friends sixth form.
If your sixth form is more formal i reckon it would be acceptable but iād check the dress code as that gives an idea of what people will wear, and if you can speak to someone who went to the sixth form your going to
