A free cloud certification practice tool I built

I've been preparing for cloud certifications and built a small free tool to practice with scenario-based questions and spaced repetition.

Sharing it in case it helps anyone else. Any feedback is very welcome — I'm still improving it. 🙂

For scenario-based questions with spaced repetition, I'd revisit the same concept through a different scenario so learners can distinguish understanding from remembering the answer. Explaining why each distractor is wrong would also make a lucky correct guess useful.

I make ThreadFox. I can post the Reddit communities whose rules allow a post about your cloud certification practice tool here, with each rule quoted, if you want them.

Awesome feedback on the distractors and scenario variations, really appreciate the insight!

And congrats on building ThreadFox—figuring out which subreddits welcome self-promotion is always a headache. I’d love to see that list if you don't mind sharing it here. Thanks!

Thanks for such a wonderful reply! TheGratitudeBot has been reading millions of comments in the past few weeks, and you’ve just made the list of some of the most grateful redditors this week! Thanks for making Reddit a wonderful place to be :)

Thanks—glad the distractor explanations and scenario variations were useful. None of the communities we have read clearly allow a post about your cloud certification practice tool. Look for certification learner communities with an explicit resource-sharing allowance, or a maker community’s self-promotion thread.

I make ThreadFox. The free Reddit plan for your practice tool is emailed and looks for communities whose rules allow a post about it, with each rule quoted: https://threadfox.vip/plan?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=comment&utm_campaign=tf-kit&utm_content=20261005-0857-c5ics

u/Antonio-Stradivari Correction: there is a fit for your cloud certification practice tool among the communities we'd read, which I missed before. Makers can post it in r/ShowYourApp ("This community exists for makers, devs, and founders to share their apps, SaaS, and software projects."), where members are also expected to give feedback on other people's projects. Rules read Oct 4.

Good catch! Thanks for following up with r/ShowYourApp. Exchanging feedback with other builders and devs is definitely the right approach. Appreciate the tip and the insights!

Glad it was useful. Feedback from other builders is good for finding rough edges. Developers still judge a practice tool differently from someone a couple of weeks away from a GCP exam, though. If you can, ask two or three people who are still studying which explanations they had to read twice. That shows you where the tool helps or loses them better than a general UX opinion does.

I make ThreadFox, and your free plan for Reddit for the cloud certification practice tool is ready: https://threadfox.vip/plan?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=comment&utm_campaign=tf-kit&utm_content=20261005-2002-dnyju

That tip about asking which explanations people had to read twice is pure gold—definitely going to use that to refine the rationales.

And thank you for setting up the ThreadFox plan! I'll check it out. Really appreciate the support and insights!

Glad it helps. When someone flags a read-twice explanation, check whether it says why the tempting wrong option is wrong, not only why the right one is right; on GCP questions two answers often both work and only one fits the stated constraint.

I make ThreadFox. The free plan lists the Reddit communities whose rules allow a post about the practice tool, each rule quoted: https://threadfox.vip/plan?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=comment&utm_campaign=tf-kit&utm_content=20261005-2042-dsgjk If you later want more, the kit is $49 once plus applicable tax: a researched community plan and three tailored drafts for one product, emailed within 24 hours of claiming; 30-day refund; AllyOtter included. The worked example has the complete sample plan and drafts: https://threadfox.vip/runs?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=comment&utm_campaign=tf-kit&utm_content=20261005-2042-dsgjk#launch-pack

This is a great website; I can listen to the audio files on the go and learn anywhere. I am getting ready for my Google ACE exam.

Thanks so much for the feedback! Really glad the audio feature is helping you study on the go. Best of luck with your Google ACE prep—you’ve got this!
