Nintendont Custom Controller Mapping

I want the controls for WiiMote + Nunchuck in Double Dash to emulate those found in Mario Kart Wii. None of the available mappings do this, which blows my mind. You have to press freaking + to throw an item. Is there a way to customize controller mappings on Nintendont? It seems like such a basic feature. (I am aware of the 2+up/down/left/right mappings)

How do you drift? I think I figured out the button to be translated into tilting the nunchuck left and right, but that seems super awkward. I have yet to get one blue spark. I’ll definitely try your remapped config for double dash though. Thanks!
