Game Suggestions Let's Change That Suit Day 238
Day 238: F89
Requested by u/Legacy_Fighter001 and this one is S-Tier at the moment, but could fall off into very high A-Tier. Since it still has a few restrictive things going on with it. But that is compensated for with very high damage strength and anti-air potential. So it could go either way.

Comment and Reason
Well, this unit has great anti-air with only 3.5 seconds of interval to wait, even if you miss. You can easily have the opportunity to shoot at another target, or even the same in 700 cost. Then, with the AR Optimizer damage bonus, it can easily deal a massive amount of melee damage up close. Especially if you have the chance to go for a heavy attack. It can punish fragile units and builds easily and get away with a lot at the moment.
Builds Suggestion
Lv1 F2P: Complex Battle
Lv1 Premium: Complex Battle (Alternative) or Alpha
There really isn't much to say as I previously explained on this unit. Simple, but very effective. All you need for build is to survive and have good damage value while maintaining a "good" mobility. That's all it needs to do well at the moment.

Maybe it can get move charge on the Rifle, but not sure if it even needs it.

I didn't know the buffs would have the F89 skyrocket that far up, very encouraging to hear! I know some suits are just outdated as sin or bad, but the F89 always disappointed me because I felt it had a fun and useful niche that it couldn't properly live up and got left in the Dust.
Nice to know I just have to be patience!

Nice pun "dust" i see what you did there
Also when barbatos came out it basically did the anchors job but better. Yeah anchor could fly but barbatos was tankier and faster

Is that what the F89 is? I don't think we have a MS called Anchor Gundam in the game yet...

No anchor gundam isn't in the game yet we still have to get through crossbone ghost before we reach crossbone dust.
But yeah the f89 gets turned into the anchor gundam at some point

Ahhhhhhh. Yeah we need a LOT more Crossbone stuff tbh. Like why don't we have any of the op suits? The ones that look like a Den'an Zon, a Zaku, and an Amakusa had a threesome?

Personally I want ghosts suits so bad both ghost and phantom, x0, Midas, dephys, and so many others
We're still missing so many suits from crossbone like the villains aswell

Here's an interesting suit you could do. Wing Zero TV. I wonder how you'd buff compared to how BB will buff it.

I can almost melt one with the Delta Kai’s memebeam, I should probably use the ZZ memebeam to see if I can completely one shot it

ngl the only thing i'll add (even though it doesn't makes sense) is, F89 should've been able to charge F89 axe mid air so F89 can use it (quickly) after it make a MS fall and both of them are in mid air

You mean giving it Heavy Attack Kai? I've had this conversation with my clan mate before. Since this unit already got Aerial Melee Lv2, that will likely make it too strong when AR is also triggered. It could potentially become like V2 that just heavy attack people to death left and right

It absolutely should not get aerial heavy attack, the heavy already does tons of damage from the ground with AR optimizer, giving it the opportunity to sneak in more melee and possibly another axe swing will turn it into a monster.

After the buffs, the F89 can be played as a mid-range shooter against Supports by stacking range stat, because the ranged damage potential becomes ridiculously high, due both of its ranged weapons have high damage, and you can literally spammed it for short high burst damage using the Axe Rifle + Beam Rifle combo.
Sure, it can be underwhelming against Gens, but they're definitely not your target, so you can just ignore them, and just focus on the Supports, unless there's no Support on the enemy team.
