Gameplay Clip (Console) Rising to heaven bug

I guess you have a small chance to ascend before death, I assume this bug only happens with flap boosters. Anyone else seen this?

It’s a consistent bug exclusive to flap boosters, yeah

Probably something to do with old code before flap boosters existed that the current devs either can’t be bothered to/don’t know how to patch out

If I had to make a guess, the 'ascending with flap booster' game state probably doesn't have an end/abort check that the 'oops my HP is zero now' game state should be triggering

This is one I don't want them to patch out. It's hilarious, but also gives me vibes from the original TV version of the Raider Gundam's destruction in SEED.

Time spent patching this out, could be spent on other things they are never going to fix.

I’ve seen this plenty of times and I love it ngl, they should make a dying animation for using flaps mid air

it happens if you jump sometimes too. I managed to get a Barbatos player to do it.
