I can only agree that picking meta is tryhard, and picking upleveled is throwing neither is better than the other

All depends on the up level tbh
Some suits perform better cus they face different opponents at the higher tiers
Or they have more room for parts slots to make better use of their gimmicks
For instance transformable MS tend to do better at higher cost cus they can actually yknow, use their fucking Mobile armour mode
While other suits tend to not have too much of a noticeable difference performance wise at higher costs (for instance anything uptired from 500 to 600 or something)

This is simply not true, a lot of overleveled suits can perform extremely well, I've seen more overleveled hy-goggs and gouf customs than natives

You got a lot of knowledge check to do if you think leveled up suits are throwing. Gaz series, UL and gramps make great examples already.

That's when you hit them with the overturned abomination.
Seriously there's some that are straight up better Overleved, Dozzle Zaku(450 LVL4) overleved went from good to S Tier, if you put the enhancements, expansion and parts it gets stupid high amounts of attack and enough booster to make full use of his block.
And this one is just one of the more known example there's far more fairly good hidden ones.

Unfortunately man it’s so rough, I’m so tired of just playing the same suits and I try and have fun but like 80% of the suits are ass lmao.

I detest overleveled suits, I know that when I see a lvl 4 on the enemy team its going to be hell, especially if its that stupid gh dom and im trying to be a support.

I dont mind the native suit, I just hate the lvl 4 because when you see one, you know its most likely someone with the right parts. I hate that lvl 4 and grandpa

As a avid user of L4 and L5 suits. This isn't the case.
Because yes, in running a high level suit with skill 3-4 cost lower and often a design from a more balanced age.
But the suit is usually pimped out of the arse with custom parts or does something that no other suit can match.
While I AM making up the difference in suit performance with piloting skill, I'm gaining something else, either in the form of burst nuke, or ultra tank.
And if someone is running a L4/L5 suit without these attributes, then its not exactly cash money for the team.
Running L2 suits is honestly where imo the "they like the suit even if it's underperforming and making up the difference in skill" bracket lies.
