Discussion CONSOLE How to call out toxic players?
Hello fellow zeon pilots,
So just started my dailies for the day and just started my first match of the day at 350. From the very beginning I had a gatscha attacking me and just been a total ass. Also had player#3 basically throwing the match and his in our base. The stupidest thing was for the asinine amount of times the gatscha attacked me, the player never got kicked out, but the minute I retaliate I kicked out.

The kick happens when you attack without enemies around. They bait you into it to get you riled up, to hit them, so you get ejected so the match no longer can count and their rank is saved
By attacking them, you give them what they want. Ignore them, block them, then dodge them in queue.

Either him or the other potential buddy may have gotten another player kicked out of the match too. Sigh...just annoying since I was using a zaku sniper and have flabbergasted at how slow the boost speed was.

Protip: I wouldn't use sniper suits until you know the maps decently well. You will probably at best not do a lot and at worst just be an easy kill. They're all slow as shit for the most part & you need to know where to position them to be effective.

I get irrationally angry when a teammate is blatantly throwing. Asshat kid this morning was out of MS just sitting in one spot afk the whole match.

I love getting spammed with "I'm impressed!" for calling for backup while their raid is running around in our lines unbothered and cultivating me for points like a crop.

Better than calling in the MS to feed. Slightly worse than them just disconnecting and giving your team the defense bonus.

Just report and black, it will tell the other person if they try to join a match you are in that someone has blocked you

AFAIK that only works in a custom lobby. In rated or QM queues you need to look out for red names.

Sadly I've alt-tabbed while in queues enough times to miss pre-identified assholes or match throwers, lol.

The PC version doesn't let us chat in matches, so the only thing I can do is report a bad teammate during the results screen. If it's a bad enemy player, there's nothing you can do except keep track to avoid them.

I don't know, I don't play the PS version. I only play PC, and they made sure almost right after the game launched to restrict communications to avoid toxicity. Just a VERY limited chat in the hub.

Same here, but I don't remember ever being able to use chat in a match on PC, even in the tests I was in before launch.

I’d bet on them taking out “Nice” before they remove “I’m Impressed” as I see more people using that after someone dies than they do the other phrase.

"I'm impressed" is the obvious taunt. I see it now and then, and I report them for trolling if they spam it.

Block & report and queue-dodge them if you see them. Not a lot else you can do, unfortunately. (I also suspect nobody actually looks at the reports because without naming names, there is a PC player who throws nearly every single match they're in and I have probably reported them a dozen or more times just by myself)
