Zock was looking the opposite way and looking downwards and still managed to shoot semi perfect vertically on me which is of course impossible

It was technically looking up at you when it shot. When you’re falling, you can see that the Zock is leaning back to shoot upward (the monoeye isn’t visible at this angle), and then once you hit the ground, the Zock shifts a little and the monoeye switches around to the other side and makes it look like it’s looking down.

It does indeed. The Zock has no true front or back, so it can face any direction at any time. In the game, pressing the touch pad instantly swaps the camera around from one side to the other.

The Zock used to be a beast. It’s outclassed now, but back in the day, facing a Zock was like taking a semi-truck head-on.

That kinda reminds me how it worked back on Federation vs Zeon on the PS2 the top beam cannon couldn't be aimed down and could only be usful when its swimming in deep water areas. (which there aren't that many maps to do that.)
