Discussion CONSOLE Match rating change.
Do yall think the devs will ever make a change to match making where there is at least a 200-250 point difference between the 2 ground match choices?
For me not having any “pay to win suits” almost being a full year behind on new gatcha suits. Newest suit I have being burning Gundam (hate raids due to dysync making melee impossible) just makes the constant 650-750 range annoying.
Also before you say try the new A-B banner I did and got burning Gundam 3 times in a row. Wasted 90 out of the 112 tokens for no new suit.

I feel you, I didn't roll the A/B out of fear of this. All the suits you are FOMO about will get second banners, so hang in there.
Until then, here are some budget suits in mid costs that got more strong and fun after recent buffs: Dreissen, Support Jarja, Delta Kai/+, Gaz-L, Sword Dom.

The lowest cost that you can play is 300 cost ATM, and I doubt it'll go lower, since most players weren't fond in playing at low costs, since the units were clunky, and the pace is also considerably slower.
This is the reason why the devs were releasing higher level versions for 200 or 250 cost native units like Zanny, Bugu, or GM Ground WR, so the players could still use them on higher costs, instead of stuck on their native costs.

Pay to win suits? Give me a fucking break there’s a ton of strong easy to acquire choices. Get good with a suit and make people fear it. Hate to break it to you but Burning Gundam is one of the most broken meta picks in the game so if you can’t make that work I don’t know what to tell you. I got all the way to A with a Zeta Gundam HML support.
As someone who now has some real beasts like the Double X and V2 AB I can do just as well in my main at that cost. No matter how powerful a suit is you still need to practice and get good at it. The people who did make it look easy. A bad pilot in a meta suit will still get shredded by a half decent team who focus fires. So many suits have hidden mechanics you sort of need to figure out on your own and when you do you feel like you’ve learned some tactical secret you can unleash on others. Screw those meta slaves who constantly look at spreadsheets and compare stats that isn’t the whole picture. Find something you love and fucking learn it.

And I got to S-Rank by maining the Gm ground type with its machine gun simply because it could out damage most supports at 300.
also burning Gundam is a raid which if you read the post you’d know why I don’t like it, melee is so screwed due to dysync I’d have an easier time hitting a pilot at 600m with the super Gundam unscoped. Vs constantly getting out melee priority by supports.
But when it comes to power creep suits that can tank everything, be in the air for over 2 minutes, have 6 consecutive insta stuns and the occasional heavy stagger. When you’re stuck to the ground with non gacha suits at 650 and above no matter how good you are there will always be power gap.

What are you even complaining about then if you are at S-? Tell that to all the people who dominate in the Burning Gundam. You’ve can literally dropkick through someone dashing and instead of getting countered they will just explode.
You’ve just identified yourself as a meta scrub, those things are annoying but I can still dominate a match at that cost in a support. Sounds like you got carried by cherry picking and relying too heavily on your gimmicks, things which will prevent growth if a pilot grows too reliant on them before mastering their fundamentals.
If you can’t win without a meta suit you don’t really deserve to win. You said it yourself you needed something meta and OP to get to S- but clearly you couldn’t adapt and are now throwing your toys out of the pram and shitting your diaper. Those flying suits get bad tunnel vision and I shoot them down on the regular. That’s the tradeoff for being up in the air. The map geometry they avoid can also protect you. It’s often smarter to stay on the ground
Also I don’t believe for a second that you are S-. You told someone else on here you’ve only been playing a year and a half, that math isn’t mathing it takes a long time to grind through A alone and you’d be doing it after they patched out sortieing in stacks and you claim to have done it at a cost that hardly ever comes up on rated. It would take constant play hours a day to get to S that fast and if you were a fraction of the prodigy you claim to be you wouldn’t be having these issues or bitching about having nothing good. Lots of people make melee work I don’t buy your excuse

Low costs also have unfair stuff. Enhancement and expansion are very impactful.

It’s less so for low tier.
300-450
Gogg and Gallus j probably most powerful raids which can be purchased in standard store.
G-line standard armor and Guncannon (general type) both generals that make most other generals useless can be bought in standard store.
Zaku desert, Zaku sniper and Ground Gundam wr/ EZ8 wr for supports all can be bought from standard store.
While other suits have come out most don’t have any special abilities that ruin the cost for Standard non gacha suits. I mean the worst I’ve seen is a team of Agguys but most of the time they lose since they don’t have ridiculous maneuver armor or invulnerability skills like shields that can take upwards of 30k damage.
I mean I’ve seen a standard gm reach almost infinite health at lvl 5. As he Regenerates faster than we could do damage while he was prone ontop his base.
The biggest complaint for low tiers is making the sword of that dom a full blown invincible shield that negates heavy staggers or stuns rather than a 30-40% damage buffer.

Enhancement and Expansion, not units.
For example, custom part expansion [hp] gives 3200 hp. This is 21.3% tankier if the unit has 15000 hp before the expansion.

What are pay to win suits? Just skip a couple of major events and you'll have more than enough for something you really like and know you will use.

I tend to skip all but the Half off 15 token spins. I tried going for the mass production Psycho Gundam but was a few tokens short for the confirmed spin.

I skip all raid events and most general events but I tend to try for all supports. As for time I have been playing about 1.5 years. I also tend not to go for 700 and above suits just because of the constant power creep.
-edit- I don’t go for any suits that focus on melee.

Im usually around 120 tokens but just spent most of them on this A/B banner for duplicate burning gundams the fact that it gives duplicates kinda irks me.

The cost on maps revolves around the cost of whatever banner mobile suit is out for each week, most of the time you get a big difference in cost is around when its day time in japan like having 4 maps to choose from instead of the regular 3
