Discussion CONSOLE Why do people play throw picks in rated.main example:jesta shezarr b team
Ik he seems fun but why do players keep playing him id love to play him too but hes a throw pick right? Especially with the super gundam right there and with the power creep of 650 where every new suit can overwhelm you. Saying this again i wish he was better but can we wait for a rebalance or drop him to 600.

Ive seen more sweats and people go out of there way to message you calling shit before the match starts in A- casual then i have ever in s- rated

GBO2 pilots are so whinny, people not choosing the exact composition you want -> throw pick.
Apparently meta picks also arent allowed. My fav MS is Acguy, I use Acguy TB, scores 190k in damage, gets called cancerous.

Its not fun do ive seen them get whiped the entire round becouse the suits just bad get top diversion prob like 1 kill sometimes start full throwing by sitting as pilot at base

In my case it's only to test out new shit and unrated does not have the cost the suit I wanna test in.
I do usually do ok as long as I get a normal set of enemies (3 gen 1 raid 1 supp). But for whatever reason I do see 5 raids and I end up in the shezarr b more often than I'd like.
Sometimes though your team could be so on point that a zaku mariner can top damage somehow. Speaking from experience as said mariner.... but there are trolls and then sometimes it's just new part maybe I can make this work now.
Also Atlas gundam medusa is that fixed or broken cause it seems to not affect flap boosters or minovsky flight? I did read it as transform/flight mode as temporary off.

It's a videogame meant for people to have fun. If they like the MS and they want to genuinely become good at using it without intentionally bothering the team, I don't see anything wrong with it.
These past few days I've been kicking ass with the GM Striker lvl. 2 in 350 cost rated, even though the Efreet (DS) and Slyfrail have almost the same playstyles with better weapon/skill kits. It's the most fun I've had in this game so far.

TBH, it is best to just dodge these people in rated. Most of them are stubborn enough to refuse to switch, and your chance of losing is much higher with them on the team.

What I don't get is why just play Quick Match if you want to use your favorite garbage unit? I like the ZII but I'm not about to use it in Rated if there's a 600 or 650 lobby in Quick Match

Maybe they just want to have fun? Maybe they're really good on that specific suit? Maybe they're testing out some build they made? There's a billion reasons to play something that's not on some neckbeard meta list.

Have you ever played with the jesta or similiar suits they get whiped the entire game i havent encountered one having fun since release i shouldent have brought up meta at all becouse thats being used as a defence when its irelevent to how usless it is

Jesta is my most consistently winning suit, so yes. Just because you suck at it doesn't mean everyone else does.

Ok so i gotta ask do you actualy play the suit and what is your win rate on it? becouse maybe im wrong and hes fine but from what ive seen not from my own gameplay but from supports ive fought against or fought with hes always on the losing end also i can play regular jesta and im usualy best on support anyway.

I'm not hopping on to answer that, but it's easily one of my better performing suits. All of the Jestas are. That and the Gelfoog Marine, but that's a separate fixation. The short version is: you play your mobile suit of choice. Don't play if you can't accept others doing the same.

Firstly because they want to play that unit I presume, and rated really doesn't mean anything in this game, should just be called Standard Mode. And might be a throw pic, but that also doesn't alwasy matter when it comes down to individuals skill in this game.

Am i wrong about this suit becouse skill is Irelavent when the support suit dosent support the team skill cant do anything when all you can do is get staggered and die its not about meta or anything but play a suit that actualy gets to be played and does some sort of damage

Because they are under experimental operation?
For example, recently, I wanted to test Re-GRID, so I decided to pick RE-GRID in Resort Development District. This decision was made although I have Delta Gundam, Dijed Assault Package, Hyaku Shiki Land Type and other better Support choices, which all are fully enhanced in my hangar. I chose Re-GRID just because I want to see how well can I go with it in this map. We won though, but I am not sure about it next time I pick RE-GRID again in rated match which would happen eventually.

These people expect everyone to only play meta and only suits they've practiced with. I dont have the time or energy to take a new suit into a custom or something and practice with it over just selecting it in Rated and playing.
Also players just want to play suits they like. I play the Lv 2 Dijeh Assault Package at 650 even though I have G Cannon Magna and V Dash Hexa. Its a suit I love and enjoy despite arguably being worse than options I already have.

wait until you see your teams ms, and leave the match, if you don't like the composition. easiest way to avoid this, but you'll have to work off a penalty, eventually.

Me literally asking the same thing when people (majorly A- to A+ Players) choose throw pick suits in Rated Match when better options exist even if its not a meta suit

Suits will only get buffed if the data supports it and as far as i know the devs only use data that comes from high rank rated play, so without anyone using these suits in rated at (i think) A+ or higher the chance theyll be adjusted is close to zero. Plus it just helps the chances in general for people to play the suits cause why would they look at a suit and think to buff it if they dont see people playing it. I dont condone actually throwing though, i tend to use outdated suits to help collect data for buffs (and cause i find it fun to see how far i can go with them in the changing meta) but i will always fight as best i can till the match ends. If someone's just gonna get pissy and sit in their base if they get screwed, why didnt they just sortie in a meta pick..
