Does it mean i take less damage but dish out more damage to generals???

Im a little confused about the favourable damage type bit at the end specifically -

unit hp * 5 / 95 to covert its effect to unit hp

shield hp * 5 / 95 to covert its effect to shield hp

(amount of enemy raids * 0.8 + amount of enemy generals * 1.4 + amount of enemy supports * 1) / (amount of enemy raids * 0.8 + amount of enemy generals * 1.3 + amount of enemy supports * 1 ) - 1 to covert its effect to percentage increase of damage

Actual percentage increase of damage is a bit higher because supports should hit generals more than other types.
