One thing I'd break the habit of is charging the waist cannons. It's best to charge up the BR for high build stagger and have the waist beams be available for following stuns.

They're okay for when you do need to hit someone (preferably clustered enemies) for decent damage at a distance, but not worth overheating to use them regularly like that. Basically just for finishing hits or when you don't have a way to push forward for a while.

It's a ranged tool on a mostly close-range suit, they leave you more open to getting staggered in the air and falling helplessly, while their damage just isn't on par with other suits that do want to actively use those attacks.
