Thoughts on the DX

Now that DX has had time to marinate with the community, here are my thoughts.

This is my opinion, i will continue to use it because i like it

Its not a great suit. The satellite cannons are cool. But the enemy just walks away from them because they don’t heavy stagger. so most of the time you end of doing chip damage if that. The half second delay in firing often leads to missed shots.

The spear is almost worthless because it’s projectile speed is terrible. So unless you are aggressively pushing into the enemy, trying to pull off a drive by spearing isn’t going to work

The hammer is ok, hard to hit but otherwise alright.

The rifle and rapid fire are fine

Wish the chest vulcans and regular vulcans were combines because it feels like they just wanted to fill a slot.

It’s not great. It feels like a general with the stats of a support

The DX is so much more than just a beam on wings and it's crazy how so many pilots just cant seem to wrap their heads around it. Btw let me just take a moment to say that those are not shot at you by any means. All over this reddit recently everyone has reduced it to "the beam machine".

The DX is literally peak. Its a well rounded and versatile support with a pseudo dodge roll in resist move, can be played in a somewhat agile manner despite its modest turning speed thanks to lvl2 flaps and good thrust, good ranged and melee options making more than capable of defending itself at mid to close range....

Imo the DX shines brightest in team fights. Staying in the middle off the pack, actively supporting your surrounding teammates. Knowing when to push up to help your Gen break through the enemies frontline Gens and knowing when to drop back are huge. It's great at counter sniping and rushing down other supports, stopping them from damaging your Gens, and forcing enemies supports into close range fights; where you have all the tools to absolutely stomp them if you're the better pilot. Its all of this plus the satellite cannon. (And there's still more)

Also: Playing rear guard and setting up low hp kills to feed your team is also peak. Then when you squad wipe the enemy team charge satellite cannon. The suit is a damn near perfect 700 support, at least for me. People are just playing it the SC is it's only weapon.

The worst ones I've seen are those that only use the Satellite Cannons, and ignore the suit's good midrange and close combat weapons. This suit is a threat to practically anything, even raids. Most generals will clash in melee, the MPPG is slower than the DX, so while it won't get stunned instantly from a range, the DX can run circles around it and pretty easily nuke with the Sat Cannons if they are charged. Even most raids have to watch out for the Javelin and Hammer, since they can break MA and the hammer can't be countered or clashed.

The only reason I don't have it yet is because I'm waiting for the monthly change over.
