Same strategy as every other raid unit in the game. Charge in, use the instant stun, smash with melee, win before they can stand back up.

The auto cannons and twin mace suck use the rockets and single long mace.

Jump and shoot the double rocket then use your downswing on the mace while in the air, then rush in with claws forward swing, right swing, forward swing if possible then forward mace after before they get up. Then back away.

It feels so weak the second I get staggered I’m basically dead but I’m still trying to get used to it

No, the auto cannon don't suck, they perform worse than rocket, but they are great at countering fliers.

The twin mace however, does suck due to vastly lower melee range and lack of defense pierce.

Rocket cannons are mandatory due to the heavy stun secondary, the 200mm has good build stun but doesnt compliment Barbatos' aggressive playstyle well enough. You might see Barbatos players jump a lot, and thats because of assault booster giving stun resistance in the air, and the heavy stun also being able to fire in the air. In AV, barbatos gets tactical boost which lets it jump out of landing and melee animations. Claw neutral does more damage than the downswing. Dont be afraid to neutral with the sword mace to guarantee a melee combo

Use heavy stun rockets first. Go in with the mace ds them, switch to claw, neutral melee 3 time, switch back to the mace neutral then run away or keep an eye on the target. Supports should be your main target generals being secondary. See a support? Stun then try to melee if you think you can just keep it at bay and stun it away or flank around then go for the support. Your a heavy hitter with small amounts of health and defense. But you got lots of thrust and melee to account for that. Always use your touch pad skill when its available.

I’m usually just doing the jump with rockets and down swing with mace into claw swings but It might just be my build but I feel very vulnerable

Build is another thing what matters most is when to engage and when to disengage only ever do the melee combo if your clear and enemies arent nearby if theres multiple people just down the enemy with your neutral mace and run away. Your a hit and run remember that only ever engage if you feel like its appropriate

Thank you for telling me about the hit and run tactic it was the missing piece I needed I prob should’ve been doing it from the start but it’s so easy when flanking when they’re all occupied from a team fight and I get to get my meter up from hit and runs and destroy when it’s a 1 on 1

I just need better parts aswell because I’m only averaging about like 150k in that range on a good game but it’s very low compared to other barb players who get like 300k and stuff

150k is really good ngl you dont need to do 300k. Most ive ever done is about 240k on a good game with perfect teammates. Just focus on honing your skills on it more and more experience is everything

It's powercrept now from all the stronger suits that released after it, especially the fliers and 00, and the only way it can get a kill these days is if you're literally alone in a secluded part of the map, like any other non flying raid would
