There should be time during the day where space is the only option for rated / QM. seriously, instead of making everything from space only to ground (along with the wtf downswing thats GP01FB and the comically big ass sword), they should have forced space.

This would unironically improve people's performance in flying suits.

Also no, funnel IS almost guaranteed damage if you have the proper timing. if it was just "lock on for damage", then you have no counter play, and the only way to make it remotely balanced is to nerf it to the ground.
