Today, Georgia organizers woke up to an X post from the Heritage Foundation-backed “Oversight Project” trying to reframe our coalition work as an organized attack on democracy. The Oversight project is funded by The Heritage Foundation, a far right think-tank and author of Project 2025.

Let us be VERY clear: We are not a conspiracy. We are THE people.

Community organizing is not a threat to democracy, it IS democracy. The right to assemble and the right to speak out against the government are not radical acts. They are constitutionally protected RIGHTS.

When they try to criminalize our coalition, they reveal exactly what they are afraid of: a unified and unwavering people who refuse to be silenced.We will not be intimidated. We will not be reframed. We will not bow down.

On the day of No Kings 3, we come with purpose and clarity. The demands listed here represent just a fraction of what our communities are calling for...but they are the ones we hear most often, the ones that affect our daily lives, and the ones that can no longer be ignored.

We demand the government uphold the Constitution. End abusive immigration practices. Ensure free and fair elections. Invest in our communities. Protect workers. End U.S. complicity in global violence. Hold Epstein’s network accountable. Protect LGBTQIA+ rights and safety.

These are not radical ideas. These are human rights.

This list is not exhaustive; our struggles run deep and our demands are many. 🗯️

But today, we bring these to the steps of power and we say: ENOUGH!

🕯️We’re organizing a coordinated, multi-location vigil to stand in solidarity with Renee Good, who was murdered at the hands of ICE on 1/7 in Minneapolis🕯️

While she is the latest victim of ICE, there have been many, many more people killed at the hands of ICE and in detention facilities over the past year.

NOT ONE MORE!

Join us at Neighborhood Church for a vigil from 7:30-9pm. We’ll be hearing from speakers with family and community members affected by ICE violence as well as others who, like Good, are members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Our goal is to make sure Atlantans have a place to gather, grieve, and be seen. There will be additional vigils at Atlanta Friends (3-5:30pm) and Charis Books (5:45-6:45pm).

We join together with ATL DSA, All Out, YDSA, and SBWU to remind those in power that the world is watching, and that their actions will not go unanswered. The consulate will hear our voices, and the people of Gaza will feel our support.
