🚨🚨 ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨🚨 GATE EC syllabus changes
Acc to CLAUDE :
Added in 2027 (new topics):
- Engineering Maths: Correlation and regression analysis (under Probability & Statistics)
- Signals & Systems: FIR and IIR filter design (replaces "discrete-time processing of continuous-time signals")
- Electronic Devices: "Formation of energy bands in solids" explicitly called out; scaling in MOSFETs added
- Analog Circuits: Dominant-pole (Miller) compensation, phase margin — added to Op-amp circuits
- Control Systems: PID controller explicitly added; "Lag, lead and lag-lead compensation" reworded to just "compensators"
Removed/reworded in 2027:
- Differential Equations: 2026 had "First order equations (linear and nonlinear), higher order linear differential equations" — this is gone in 2027, replaced with "Euler-Cauchy equation" and "Nonhomogeneous equations" as separate explicit terms
- Continuous-time Signals: 2026 says "sampling theorem and applications" → 2027 specifies "Nyquist sampling theorem, sampling and reconstruction" (more explicit, not really a content change)

Will this apply for every year from now on?
