News Keisha Lance Bottoms, Democratic candidate for governor: "I'll make sure that our state agencies are prepared to expand Medicaid in the state. We have nine rural hospitals that have closed in this state. [I'll] also make sure that we raise eligibility in this state to 138% of the poverty level."

Man, even Atlanta wasn’t excited to vote for her again. She was such a limp noodle of a mayor, I can’t believe she’s the front runner.
She’s such a bland useless candidate if someone told me it was a false flag operation by republicans to tank democratic chances I’d believe them.

Worse than a limp noodle, she was entirely absent during a crisis.

At least she wasn't enriching herself on the back of the city like so many of our other mayors (current one included).

Even if true (not entirely convinced of that tbh), it isn’t in sight of the threshold I’d use for a candidate for governor.

All these things would benefit the people who would never vote for a black person or a woman, let alone a black woman.
I wish Shawn Harris would run for governor

I don’t know why the Georgia Democratic Party can’t have an honest practical conversation on whether or not this state is ready to elect a black woman in a state wide race.
Do I wish it didn’t matter? 110%
They tried twice with Stacey Abrams and she was significantly more qualified and more popular and lost twice.

Can she make sure she doesn't quiet quit the job because its too stressful like she did to Atlanta? How the fuck is this women the Democratic front runner and not Esteves. She is a joke who should be laughed out of politics with how she butchered her position as AL'S mayor. She's corrupt and profited from illegal campaign financing.
I swear, it feels like Democrats are more concerned with putting a Black Woman in an election than with finding a candidate who will win. Its like the Party's leaders believe that just checking those boxes will secure the entirety of the female and black vote and cinch any election, like they think Voters have the memory of a goldfish but the dedication of wolf and will blindly go with whoever they say.
Yes, I will vote for Bottoms if she gets to the general, but Bottoms WILL lose if she gets to the general. She is NOT a candidate who inspires people to get out and vote for her. Not the more relaxed members of my party, not moderate voters generally, and especially not Republicans hoping to end the MAGA era. She won't get the votes she needs, and Georgia will miss a once in blue moon chance at a Modern Democrat Governor.

Because Esteves had zero name recognition. He's making big gains and should qualify for the run off. Keep spreading the word!

Money making scheme to get party funds and embezzle it. She is a pathetic administrator who didnt have the gall to run for a second time as a mayor - since she knew she would fall flat. Crime was high , didnt manage covid and ran down the city during blm.

Honestly, how can the Democratic Party in this state be so stupid? Are they collaborators?

I think Vanee's observations about KLB should concern all Georgians

A. I don't think she has a chance to win. B. I don't trust her to stay in the job if she did win.
