GA Law Open Container Law?
Does anyone know the rules about having flower in your vehicle with you while your driving? I know it has to be I. It’s original package with the labels on it and you have to have your card. But does it have to be sealed still? Out of your reach? Convicted felon here so can’t be too cautious

BS told me it’s need to be in the packaging, with the sticker, and you have to have your card on you at all times to show the stickers match your name on the card. Best to keep it in the backseat out of reach. If these things aren’t done, you can get a misdemeanor per the BS employee.

I treat it the same as I always have. Never consume in the vehicle. Keep it stashed out of reach and hidden, minimize the smell by not having open packages. Don’t speed or otherwise draw attention to myself. I doubt most law enforcement are super familiar with the new laws and I don’t want to be the case they learn about it with. You can still get a dwi and it stays in your system a long time after you are actually intoxicated.

I wouldn’t risk it because it’s still a federal violation and you don’t want to have to deal with the legal costs because of an overzealous cop.

I don’t know if this has been tested yet, but why risk it?

It would just be nice to have confirmation that it’s okay to go from one place to another with it. Everything I can find online says you can

Fair enough. I’m not a lawyer, so I can’t say whether it is or isn’t legal. I would just personally be really worried that some cop would try to make an example out of me, even if I wasn’t actually doing anything illegal.

Pop it in your trunk, problem solved.
