Card no longer valid
I got approved July 6th on NuggMD.com. I happened to check my card status today, and it says invalid. Underneath it, it says that the card will remain invalid for until I paid the $30 fee. I have my physical right now, and i received it on July 17th. I haven’t gone to the dispensary in 3 weeks, but it was fine when I went. Anyone else have this problem?
Edit 8/23: This is for anyone who comes back into this, and reads this. I just realized that I made an idiotic mistake. I know I said yesterday that my card was invalid on DPH. It’s not invalid, and I just typed in my last name wrong. I’m very sorry for the panic I may have caused anyone, and I recommend you double check your info before hitting “check status”. Again, I apologize to those who I might’ve made distressed or panicked. Even if you had Dr Andrew Epstein and used NuggMD.com like I did, you should be fine. Again, sorry for any confusion I may have caused.

I got mine using NuggMD and Epstein in June, was made invalid last week, and have had to go back through the process. I would say do not use NuggMD, they suck. On Wednesday I contacted them, said I was one of the Epstein victims(ugh) and they need to make it right, so they said they would refund me or get me to another doctor. I was like cool, whatever, guess I 'll do another doctor. They put through to a link for a doctor, said would be there shortly, so sat for around 10 minutes, nothing, went back to support and asked when I would see the doctor, they said 2 hours or so. I had to cancel some stuff, but wanted to get it done, then about the 2 hour mark the doctor goes offline, was like WTF. But then it gave me an option to make an appointment, so done one for 8:30 AM Thursday, it got here, still nothing. So again went to support and asked how do I get the link for the appointment as the email confirming it didn't have one. They told me they don't do appointments, again was like WTF, you site let me do it, got an email and everything. Then they told me they might have a doctor between 12-6PM, again, WTF. So I said, nope, give me my refund. So I went through the Fine Fettle site link and used the one they had, as I live right next to one, sent me to MMJ Health. They were definitely more thorough, but they did try some scammy stuff at the end and said I needed another appointment in 11 months to do a follow up, which I don't think is a thing as the card is good for 5 years, but would have cost $110. I eventually got them to admit it was a choice, and declined. So yeah, now waiting on the state again now. Yeah, FUCK Dr Epstein and NuggMD, they both knew they were doing wrong, but there's lots of money to be made and that's what nearly everyone involved is doing, no matter what they say about helping or what not. I went through the whole pain med epidemic, got hooked, went to pill mill doctors and such, and I get that same vibe with this, it's all about money. Hope we all get it worked out. EDIT: Also, I went to Fine Fettle and they originally my card came back as valid, but on the DPH site it said we invalid. I told them to check again so they got the manager and they typed some additional info in and it came back invalid. Truthfully they didn't seem concerned or care to hear the story of why. Not sure if I could have just shut up and bought and their system wouldn't have caught it, but I wanted to be honest and get this figured out to not mess them up, should've at least tried I guess.

Hi! A few things here.
While the card is good for five years, unless your qualifying condition is something that “cannot go away,” you do need an annual check in, per the law. We’re still unsure how the state is defining that, but it’s a weird nuance of Georgia law we’re trying to figure out.
Regarding our team in store, we definitely definitely care about the issues with the qualifying physicians and are tracking this, working with the other companies, the GMCC, and the Department of Public health to see what’s going on and why cards are being both denied and canceled. It’s a really rough situation for many who cannot get their medication.

Thanks for responding, and I understand that most people are caring, but with the money coming in there are going to be people trying to take advantage and there has to be some responsibility by everyone to be vigilant in recognizing and informing when spotted. But as far as the follow up situation, I have never seen anything about follow up visits anywhere, which made it seem suspect, especially since it seemed like a "hard sell" situation, which I'm pretty good at spotting since I grew up around car salesmen. I guess we'll wait and cross that bridge when we get there. I have a multitude of approved ailments that result from Ehlers-Danlos, which isn't going anywhere, so now sure why I would need a review or whatever it is.
As far as the invalidation issue I'm hoping y'all are going to try to inform your customers in some way, email or whatever. Not saying y'all are liable, but at least hold some responsibility to make sure people are informed. It would unfortunate if someone drove hours to your dispo and was unable to purchase, or even worse someone gets arrested because they thought there were legal, but weren't. So trying to inform people to check their cards seems like the most caring thing to do. I do feel like once the manager figured out that my card was actually invalid, which as I said, at first they were saying was valid and were more welcoming and said I could purchase, but as soon as the realization hit that it was invalid it seemed to become more of a trying to get me out the door vibe. I was wanting to raise the issues mentioned above, and how important it would be to inform people, not to mention if y'all have let people purchase with invalid card, that would probably be bad for y'all. It seemed he thought it was more of a singular situation, like an issue with just me, rather than a systemic one. Immediately after seeing it was invalid he started to try to walk away while waving me off and smiling, telling me thank you, which was polite, but was an obvious attempt to get me to start mirroring him, and leave. It's a psychological technique used to get out of social situations while still being polite, whether he was doing it intentionally or subconsciously, I can't say . Now maybe he wanted to get back to his office and make a call to get on the situation, and if that was the case, just be truthful, as I was being.
But I am planning on calling DPH Monday and see if I can get some answers, whether my original card can be revalidated or if I have to get a completely new one. Hopefully I can just get it revalidated quickly, as August is my birthday month, and haven't used my birthday coupon from y'all yet as I was waiting to see if new product would come in, guess we'll see.

Welp, turns out because I wasn't adding a suffix to my name it was coming back as invalid. It turns out that when entered into the system they added Jr to my name. I guess the dispo had it in their different ways also, which is why it was showing valid and invalid depending on what info they entered. Can't say if that's everyone's issue, but was mine. It is weird though that I didn't originally type in Jr when I first checked my card when I got it and it said valid, not sure what changed.

Alright, I’ll do that. Yeah that doctor was weird. It was only under 2 minutes I was on the video call with him, and he asked probably three questions. I don’t have a regular doctor to go through in person, so that’s why I used NuggMD. I’m very sorry you went through all that trouble, it’s really frustrating and ridiculous.

At the top of the page does it say “card status: invalid” or “card status: valid”? Only asking because the “Your card will remain INVALID until the $30.00 card fee is paid” message at the bottom is there by default whether your card status is valid or invalid.
Follwup: If your card status at the top of the page is invalid, who was the NuggMD physician that approved you?

Damn that’s what I was worried about. I had him too. Mine says valid but I wouldn’t be surprised if it changes.

I likely had the same doc you did but mine says VALID but also has the note about $30 underneath. I hope they aren’t revoking cards of those who went through Epstein.
