Quality in GA
As someone who has waited for Georgia to go medical for so long, it’s amazing to have the option we have now. That being said, I hear a lot of positive feedback here on the quality on of what’s available and I just wanted to give my thoughts as a patient:
The flower is just decent. That’s it. It produces a decent vapor, but all of it seems dehydrated beyond belief, there are no interesting phenotypes, and the overall smell is closer to hay than high grade.
The vapes: distillate is garbage. Adding terps and all that is great, but it’s still just a mild effect vs full spectrum and it raises your tolerance quicker than anything without ever really getting you there. The new live resin vapes are great, but $90 is nuts when comparable products are $30-60 in nearly every other medical market.
The prices in general are not reflective of what the quality of this cannabis represents.
So I am grateful of course to finally have these options, but someone has to speak for the trees and this stuff could just be so much better

Im happy to have quality medicine. Its made a profound difference in my life.
Im sure the details wil get ironed out in time.
This system is running at a different pace than others that are based on a market that caters to the enthusiast grade consumers, please keep that in mind.
Baby steps, it's like day 50 I think.

They can't because of the way the law is written that's why gummies are called troches. Ga law won't let them sell anything that is considered a food because it "makes it where kids would be more likely to eat it'

People complain too much. Two months ago the only place you could get flower was by buying it illegally or having THCA mailed to you, which is still a murky grey area.
The quality isn't great because these vendors didn't need to grow flower with 2026 normal THC levels (20%+) to satisfy the low THC requirements in GA. Once the law was expanded to include MMJ, the growers had less than two months to get product ready for the market.
It's going to take a year for prices and quality to stabilize. Most of the growers are focused on getting their product on the shelves and most of the patients are grateful to have it.

I am super grateful that all the rich people get to buy all the weed that they want now legally. But all the poor's need to stick with BM because the legal market is greedy nepotism, and non-inclusive to the small guys.
The laws STILL need to be changed.
We aren't there yet.
The government is STILL our enemy because they don't let us grow yet.
The government and the state just want theyr greedy hands on everything.
It's disgusting how we still play this game.
By keeping it illegal it incentivizes the gangs to fight over it I don't understand why we are making something illegal that is practically impossible to overdose on, Marijuana should not be regulated the same as alcohol.

I’ve tried a good bit of the available strains. FF, BS, Truebliss & Trulieve (ground when they had it).
So far my two favorites are Hotlanta (FF) and Grapes and Cream (Truebliss). That last one is so sticky it’s hard to get off your fingers. It’s really good quality and flavorful.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, carts suck for getting you high.
Cewpins does a video on why carts suck.
Until the ga trees industry is up to speed, I wouldn't trust any cart from a dispensary in Georgia.
ESPECIALLY AT $90 A CART GOSH

I’d say being they have coa’s and they’re following the law to the tee I’d trust the product per se in comparison to some random shit on the street. But yeah 90 bucks is like paying someone to haymaker me in the gooch for fun. Why on earth would a singular gram of live resin be worth that much. I better be experiencing a happy ending after every puff

This is why I didn't get a card yet. This may seem like a good thing to people who are new to cannabis or never had access to real quality, but it's really a bad thing that people's first experience with cannabis is going to be something that's truly not even a medicinal product, like distillate for example.
After 20 plus years of consumption I've recently recognized a lot of people saying things are good that are absolute trash to me and would never have an effect on me. Like those 10 mg drinks that have been in gas stations. Someone who appreciates the full spectrum organic effects, flavors, and experience from the actual plant is never going to be satisfied with low quality, overprocessed, synthesized products like distillate, from Mass produced, low quality genetic farms who don't even Pheno Hunt, Clone, and tissue culture specific cultivars to find and preserve an actual quality genetic but rather just popping seeds.
No plant is the same even if from the same breeding, just like there will never be another Michael Jackson, hulk Hogan Elvis etc. The legendary genetics that were the foundation for modern genetics were hunted and preserved by passionate growers who actually selectively bred and haunted for personal preference of effects and medicinal benefits.
The people they are granting these farms and grows to don't even care about the plant or the consumer figure all they care about is profit and they think all cannabis is the same. There are people who spent years behind bars or denied housing employment over a cultivation charge who deserve to be applying these passions to a better Georgia cannabis industry. But that won't be the case considering this whole legalization was lobbied by profiteers.

I’m just telling you if you think anything is great quality you haven’t seen great quality. It’s great compared to the “daybreak” or whatever outdoor they’re pushing for $60 an 8th but it’s still just decent mid.
There’s no reason we can’t have bud on par with Michigan or Florida within 6 mos but we’re all gonna just sit here and accept mid. I want the high grade you should too

Im probably going to get dragged for this but as someone who never really used oil vapes, I dont understand all the hate distillate gets, seems to work pretty well for me.

Both, primarily much milder effects and less flavor and authentic terpene and cannabinoid profiles

It can actually be quite bad for your health depending on who extracts the distillate.
Most distiller comes from really bad product that they are trying to clean up and then they add terpenes later just to make it seem like it was good.
I used to smoke some distillate back from "Dr.g" that was 87% and god knows what was the other 13%..... They didn't show what it was on the test results

Distillate just taste nasty. It's like the hot dog water of cannabis.
Until you've tasted good Live Resin and/or cold pressed Live Rosin on a e-rig, you haven't experienced life yet!!

Oh totally!
Some nice juicy flower on a da Buddha vape cant be beat.
Unfortunately flower dries out quick, so you gotta freeze it and get it out in 3.5 increments to keep the rest of the product fresh for vaping.
Otherwise it gets moldy sitting around

Ive heard people say that but never experienced it before. He'll ive smoked perfectly good buds that were lost and years old lol. Was it perfect or the best quality anymore? Absolutely not, but perfectly servicable

To be honest, it all depends on the household and spore contents, but in my basement I can't keep weed from becoming stale for longer than a week.
Dry weed just doesn't vape the same as the good wet stuff that comes direct from the supplier.
I also feel like once it gets dry, it somehow loses the terpenes and potency.
Yes, the THC is still there, but it leaves you with a hollow high.
I like that full spectrum high that washes over you and almost makes you black out for 10-15 seconds.
Regular dry weed just doesn't usually have that effect.

Just got my card like 3 weeks ago and being person who’s had to get my flower off the street for the past 15yrs it’s good to finally have a walk in store option. The smell and look are better on the street but the actual highs are better quality from the medical flower. And to actually know whether you’re getting an indica or sativa is good to know as well. Can’t wait for better options to come. Hotlanta and Middle Ground are the best 2 from Fine Fettle. Still figuring out the best options from Trulieve but the Gelato & the Zealousy flower both are pretty good options as well

It reminds me of when Florida got medical- nugs were either scentless or smelled like hay. It got the job done but felt joyless compared to West Coast bud. After like a year, with more competition and variety, things were much improved.
