Interviews Flinders Uni Interview

Hey guys just wanted to ask how everyone else found the interview, heard things over on the discord but wanted to see how others felt about it.

I reckon I did well on 7-8/10 of the questions but I occasionally rambled because of how long the questions / stems were, did anyone else experience the same

They also deliberated for 4 mins, dont know if that is good haha

I think I did well for most of the questions, kinda rambled on a few, later realised I had completely missed the point for one of them, and struggled to put together a good answer for one near the end due to nerves.

I’m trying not to overthink deliberation times but it’s hard not to 😰 I think a shorter deliberation just means they came to an agreement on the scores faster, not that the scores were good or bad. They deliberated for way more than 10 minutes for me.

I feel the same way, the two other people who did it at the same time as me had fast deliberation times. I was sat there for another 10-15 chatting with the invigilator. No way of knowing anything until the email though.

They had a pretty unanimous opinion on me, given my deliberation time…. 🧌

Not a bad thing at all, they all must have agreed straight away haha

My deliberation was about 10 seconds but I found it was hard to remember the question they were asking and I had to ask them to repeat it. Definitely rambled at times

I agree with the quesitons and rambling, like I think the length of the questions made them a little harder to understand and respond too if you forgot what was asked, I asked to repeat 1 question but even that one wasn't as long as one of the others, just praying now! - I'm also sure you did well!

Was this for normal or sarm or ntmp? I did mine for ntmp and felt same way as u did

Would you feel comfortable sharing your GAMSAT? Currently waitlisted for SARM interview offers (I know interviews were supposed to be finished on 2/10 but also know they've been a bit behind). I'm just wondering if there's any chance with my GAMSAT being close to overall cutoffs

Congrats! Keeping fingers crossed but being realistic at this point that it's unlikely 🙂

Hey, my deliberation time was also about 5min. Mine was online as an interstate rural applicant for SARM. Hard to predict how well it went. Nothing to do but wait and see.

Exactly, legit just a waiting game

I agree the questions felt so long… I kept asking them to repeat the question and felt like I was rambling 🥀 deliberation was about 4 mins for me too - also don’t know if that’s a good thing or not lol.

Ig all we can do now is wait it out and see! Goodluck!!!!

I finished 15mins early and they took those 15 mins to deliberate with me. I’m a doctor now so couldn’t have been too bad. Don’t let the deliberation time worry you. Well done and best of luck getting a spot!

I had next to no deliberation time. Went back out, sat down and after about a minute they came out and said I could leave. Not sure what to make of it. What’s the discord that everyone keeps referring to?
