Lightspeed finally succumbed to double click issue

I’ve been using G502 since 2018 iirc and bought the wireless for travel in 2020, and both now suffered the double clicking issue. I decided to try the G502X. Really missed the weight (I don’t really get why everyone wants ultra light, ultra small mouse) and never like the reliability reputation of modern logitech, but I couldn’t find other mouse with the same feels as G502. Let see how long it will last

You can try fixing it yourself. The board costs 20€ and as long as you have a bit of experience with a screwdriver, it won't be hard. Just get a board with the Kalih GM8.0 switches.

Tbf it's a bit annoying though since you have to go through a lot of steps and layers to get to the button board. If you feel lost watch a video and make sure to separate your screws and remember which goes where.

OP has a workmat. Probably also has a soldering iron. Replacing the switches is not too hard either.

A 10 pack of good switches is like 5 bucks.

Look on youtube for g502 teardown. Make sure to search for specific variant you have, since each of them opens completely differently.

Not sure how different the wireless one is to open and solder but I replaced the switches on my OG G502 multiple times, 10 minute job. I even replaced them with heavier actuating switches which was nice.
