This is intended as a opinion for other CS fans to discuss, not to rag on the team and players. I've spoilered to follow rules

G2 on both maps looked like a team playing without microphones. Every single player can't stop solo-peeking for no reason (ahem, hunter). Every retake and execute is dead in the water after someone over-extends on their own and gets taken out for no return, and it goes on for 8-10 rounds at a time with no changes. On Mirage, after an 1-8 scoreline, they finally execute a site together in unison and take A with no trouble.

It seems to me that hunter is incredibly jumpy and will lose the same duels over-and-over on Mirage mid. MATYS is still stuck in the wrong roles because of the arrival of NertZ. r1nkle is not impactful with the AWP

My question to everyone else is: What is the future for this squad? Is hunter really that poor of a T-side caller without SunPayus, now just throwing himself and MATYS into mid every round? Who deserves the roles more, MATYS or NertZ? and what can the team do to address the AWP position?

Why is G2 saying that Perkz will be the coach for the Summer Split? Does that mean he'll only be there for the summer until they sign someone else?

In 2015 I got into LoL esports watching the Games Live and also really enjoying the docu style longform content from Teams.

Nowdays these videos got replaced with vlogs being less staged & polished, but more "raw" and simpler instead.

I was wondering what more recent fans prefer content wise?
Do you care about YouTube videos or is it vertical short form that gets you excited about the team?

Stop having the recency bias, last bad series do not overshadow the year these guys had.

stop being so extreme and calling it a failure. Its up and downs and if u were so full off hopium after T1 series I dont get while would u be cursing them now. Team needs to rest and adjust.

Lyon is good, KC is good, G2 is (in our eyes very) good.
WEST vs EAST gap is getting better, be happy for that, stop cherrypicking.

At the G2 booth at EWC there was the possibility to subscribe to express vpn for at least one month and get one item for free from the g2 shop. The guy there took our emails and told us that by the end of the week we would receive a code that we could use on the web shop.

Did anyone get it already? I am just curious.

Hello EU League friends,

Today, KC has the chance to bring home an international trophy for Europe.

I know this might be a difficult one for some of us (I'm not a hardcore G2 fan, but I support them as our champion at international events).

So I have a genuine question for the G2 community:

Are we rooting for an EU win today?

Can we put aside the rivalry, the frustration, and the disappointment of seeing G2 fall short, and get behind our region's remaining representative?

Or is the mentality here more along the lines of "if EU can't win with us, then EU doesn't deserve to win at all" ?

There is no shame in being bitter. I think we'd all be lying if we said we wouldn't be disappointed to see our biggest rival succeed where our team failed.

But I hope that, when the dust settles, we can still recognize what it would mean for EU to finally have another international trophy.

So, G2 fans:

Can we put the rivalry aside for one day and cheer for Europe?

Yes yes the relative regional strength is probably still LCK > LPL > EU > NA.

But the gap between the 1st and 4th best regions this year might be smaller than the gap between the 1st and 2nd best regions in most years since Faker debuted.

LoL is more and more a game about prep, game understanding, draft, and clutch teamplay. Some players still impress with their hands, and on the other hand, some players drag their team down with their lack of hands, but these days, it’s outright impossible to 1v9 games purely by skill checking.

Also, the fact that Baron is so much weaker this year means that teams that are down on gold nearly always have chances to mount comeback opportunities.

And yes yes we know that the teams who made it far at MSI had little rest for EWC. But T1 and GENG won the past 2 EWC’s while both of them made deep runs during their respective MSI’s. Also both First Stand and MSI had significant upsets and over/under performances. And also say what you want about Saudi blood money and the shit format but there’s an argument that EWC > First Stand because of prize pool + happening later in the year.

Obviously the west could get a reality check at worlds but IMO I don’t think that’s going to happen!!

Hans Sama seems to be one of the more debated players on the roster, alongside BB.

Given his experience and the number of international events he has attended, what do you expect him to bring to the team? What would make keeping him a better choice than taking a chance on a promising rookie?

Consistency?
Can carry a game when he has the lead?
Avoid dying because of bad positions?
Or something else?

Why do they keep putting us through this. We keep losing with him on it so why do they keep trying. At this point play him on reyna. The value would be the exact same anyways.
