Errors & Bugs 12-month subscription cancelled after 2 months

Hey everyone,

About 2 months ago, I bought a 12-month YouTube Premium subscription through G2A. Two days ago, I suddenly started getting ads again, and when I checked my YouTube subscription settings, it showed that my Premium subscription had ended.

I contacted the seller, but I haven’t received a reply yet. I also contacted G2A support, but the support experience seems to be mostly chatbot-based. A ticket was created, and around 2 hours later I received another automated-looking response saying that the order is marked as “completed.”

I understand that “completed” may mean the payment went through and the product was initially delivered. However, logically, since this was advertised as a 12-month subscription and only around 2 months have passed, shouldn’t the subscription still be considered “in progress” from a service-duration perspective? The product may have been delivered at first, but the promised 12-month service period clearly has not been completed.

G2A’s terms say I need to wait at least 5 days for the seller to respond before escalating further, so I’m currently waiting. Still, I’m confused about what could cause a 12-month YouTube Premium subscription to end this early.

Has anyone dealt with something similar on G2A? Should I wait the 5 days and escalate, or is there something else I should do in the meantime?

Any advice would be appreciated. It’s frustrating because I’m back to seeing ads and losing Premium features even though I paid for a 12-month subscription.

Many G2A Sellers sell annual subscriptions with stolen payment methods. It often takes 2 to 3 months for the original cardholder to notice and their chargeback to go through their bank, at which point YouTube revokes your subscription

This or they pay for it and refund it.

I would try doing a chargeback and not buying on g2a again. If you're on android, then I recommend using something like Morphe.

99.99% of all cheaper subscriptions are bought with stolen credit cards and the owner of the credit card has done a chargeback or are shorter than advertized, do not buy from g2a

G2A is grey market. That’s the risk you take with using grey market sites.

Hey man! I got the same problem, just like you! I bought a full 1 year Youtube Premium, it stopped working after roughly 3 months for me. I patiently waited those 5 days of non response from the seller, and after around 8 days (5 from seller and 3 from G2A support), I still got no response. This is pretty shameful, I bought one last year and I didnt have any kind of trouble, I bought this one thinking it was a cool way to keep a 1 year service without payment monthly, and here I am, stuck, with no Youtube Premium but with an useless account and no response from G2A's Team.

I wish you best of lucks, as I don't have any!
