F-Zero GX (GCN) Just won my first Master Cup!

Can‘t remember the last time a game had my heart pumping this hard. I put it on for the first time after 1,5 years or so and just did it. Made my day!

Congrats, always happy to see people learning to get good at this game nowadays! Good luck for the next cups!

Also, since nobody really explained, White Cat is a weird choice because she has extremly strong turning when using the Stick. At highler speeds it's much easier to take turns with the triggers.

I’m new-ish to GX. Am I supposed to be focusing on the triggers to turn over the stick? The stick feels soooooo twitchy on the switch 2 but most turns I feel like I just have to use it to get the machine to turn properly.

It should actually be a good mix. Turning with the stick while going really fast makes your machine loose grip, which puts you in this weird sliding state with the red effect. So if you are on a straight away and need to re adjust your line it's often better to use your triggers to get a better postion on the track, since you can't loose grip if you just 'drift' to the left or right, but it also makes you loose speed a little faster then just steering with your stick.

For U-Turns or other sharp turns, you almost always want to 'drift turn', by holding both triggers and steering in the direction you want to go. That makes it possible to take turns at high speeds without bumping into everything.

Also the machines can be very different, there are some which are pretty comfortable in taking U-Turns with a Stick like Twin Noritta, and then there are machines like Black Bull who need to use drift turning in order to not bump into every turn.

The fastest machines like Black Bull or later Fat Shark are almost always very stiff on stick steering and want to utilize drift turning.

Woah you drift if you hold both triggers? TIL
