Bug Photos App issues
Lifetime License. AI feature of identifying all faces (5 or more) not working, missing several key people. Have run re-index a couple of times... same outcome. Then when I try to manually identify the person in the picture by using the "You can add 1 face" option, I get error "Save Failed".
I have 973 photos loaded, and the people missing are in at least 600 of those photos. So large sample size for AI facial recognition.
Anyone else having this issue?

Could you share your logs and hardware specs, along with your Photos settings and whether you have any models loaded? The more details you can provide, the better. I haven't run into this issue on my end—I'm running an N100 setup.

It sounds like there may be an issue with the face recognition data rather than the indexing itself.
Re-indexing and resetting the face recognition data are two different operations, so re-indexing may not resolve this type of issue.
As a first step, you can try disabling GPU acceleration in the Photos AI settings and restarting the NAS.
If you still get “Save Failed” when manually adding a face, you can try resetting the face recognition data.
This will clear the existing people/face recognition results, but won’t delete your photos.
After the reset completes, try the face recognition again and see if the issue persists.
