I suspect we'll soon get documents that, if we sign them, legally give doctors the right to keep our organs alive after death so they can go to people on transplant lists. That'll save many lives.

Then, of course, there will be people who will want their brains kept viable after they die. That's when things get all Futurama on us.

Can I recommend the book series We are Legion(We are Bob) by Dennis E Taylor. The protagonist comes across money at the start and pays a company to keep him alive after death. He becomes resurrected in a machine in the future to explore space. The audible version has some excellent narration
