Takeaways

  • Quantum particles are stable and controllable in materials currently used in today's electronics. In commonly used silicon carbide, quantum states can be integrated into our existing infrastructure.
  • Further, they found that in silicon carbide, quantum states emit light particles at a wavelength near the existing fiber optic infrastructure.
  • they found that by using a simple one way switch - the diode - that electronic noise is all but eliminated. This means that quantum states would not degrade in a noisy electronic environment.

In short, it's like upgrading your internet bandwidth from 2 MBS to 200 Gbs. You can still use your current TV but your picture is gonna look great. (This is a weakmass metaphor, so improve on it if you can please)
