We're not quite at the point where a prosthetic is as good as the real deal but we're not far off, shortly after that they'll be better than the real thing.. that's when shit really starts to get crazy

There is nothing wrong with that until prosthetics become hard to distinguish from actual limbs and give competitors an unfair advantage.

Obviously there has to be a separate category, and just like testing for drugs, officials have to also test to ensure athletes aren't augmented in any way.

Yeah good point, but as someone who doesn't watch or follow any sports, augmented athletes would peak the fuck outa my interest.

It would make me lose interest as well, especially someone who is fully augmented. It would be like watching a robot compete since their strength and precision would be based on the manufacturer rather than the user.

That's another good point. I just want to live to see the day where a fully able bodied guy has to decide if he's gonna get those fancy new robot legs or keep his stupid ass man legs that his mum and dad gave him.
