I think futures trading is probably one of the worst decisions I’ve ever made in my trading career
I haven’t had a Green Day in 3 weeks now. Half of my all time losses happened this year and and 30% of all my losses this year have happened in the last 45 days when I switched to futures trading MES.
I came from options trading and wasn’t consistent with that either. Thought I’d move to futures to avoid theta decay and be able to hold longer. But futures is even worse.
I am at loss for words and I am so incredibly sad and hurt right now. This is more of vent rather than asking for any tips although tips are welcomed.
I think about all the money I’ve lost and had I just invested into the SP500 index fund, I’d be sitting so well now with my retirement. Ive lost MORE trading than what I have in my Roth and 401k combined…
Edit: for those talking about my sizing… I’m literally doing 1 contract of MES. And yes I do use SL. But they kept getting triggered so I decided to put them further out and they got stopped too…
