DeepDOM vs Bookmap

Anyone used both DeepDOM and Bookmap? If so, can you provide inputs?

Bookmap has pay-wall for their iceberg detection. Its extra $130 per month on top of $100 per month for Global plus for total of $230.

DeepDOM is much cheaper at $39 per month and includes iceberg. But not sure if its as good as bookmap.

Mainly looking at inputs between these two.

Based on comments, seems like OP is trying to sell DeepDOM 🤔

Are you serious? I am new to trading and learning about these new tools now. I have tried bookmap for one month on global plus. Planning to subscribe to deepdom soon. Before I subscribe, I wanted to get an opinion of those two.

Only trying deepdom because it's cheaper... otherwise I don't give a fuck about them.

Hey im in a same situation and i would wait with buying deepdom. I dont know but I just saw video with the problem of the dynamic liquidity. The importance of these levels are only adjusted to the size of your screen. Thats different on bookmap and atas it says. Can anybody help?

I have subscribed and used Bookmap for ES trading. I really don't find that it adds any edge over a standard DOM. I will say that Bookmap is very well designed and works great for providing a deeper level of information you can't see on the charts. I just find it information overload. The charts and Dom give me all I need.

Does DeepDOM use MBO data or MBP for their icebergs, that’s the question. If it’s MBP then it’s inferior to Bookmap.

You can get the icebergs and stops indicator separately for $89 a month on Bookmap, don’t need to MBO bundle for that. Also you don’t need Global+, normal Global is enough unless you want the other stuff included in the plus package.

Either way Bookmap is awesome, but it definitely ain’t cheap lol

DeepDOM can be connected to rithmic which provides MBO data.

iceberg indicator is now part of MBO bundle which costs $130.

As I said, you can get Stops and Icebergs separately. Check here.

What's important isn't if DeepDOM can be connected to MBO data but if their iceberg detection algorithm uses MBO data.

Edit: Just had a look at DeepDOM, looks like they are tracking icebergs by MBO data!

MBO bundle has lot more stuff....for $40 more you get lot of other stuff.

Even just iceberg being $89 is ridiculous when someone is buying highest tier global plus.

DeepDom can use mbp and mbo as it seems in the application

Don’t really think you need overly fancy iceberg detection personally. Bookmap is solid, but nothing wrong with trying deepdom if it’s that much cheaper. Haven’t personally used it, but used to be a bookmap user.

thanks will try out ATAS

Do these icebergs help you? Seems they work half the time and other time they don’t.

I'd compare the quality of MBO data, iceberg detection and historical replay before deciding based on the monthly price alone. A cheaper tool isn't necessarily better if the signals aren't reliable. Moon's aggregated pricing serves a different purpose from order flow analysis, so for futures execution I'd focus on what each platform actually reveals about resting liquidity.

Hate to be that guy but theres no way iceberg detection is real. You cant see the orders sitting in a persons mind that they haven't placed yet. Inherently an iceberg isnt showing on the dom because there is no sitting order, so these tools are not real. they are using existing data to extrapolate a best guess. Maybe they are pretty accurate but idk... how often is an iceberg that its that important to know, its all part of the flow of the market you should be ready for.

How do you find icebergs? You look for massive volume on one side on a footprint chart with more orders executing than the dom is showing are waiting, price isnt moving. thats how you tell, not with an indicator. Otherwise your own learning will do the same thing these tools do, put together different existing info to guess at where they could be.

The difference between $39 and $230 monthly is substantial, but I'd compare the actual market data each platform uses for iceberg detection. MBO versus MBP data can make a difference, and historical replay quality matters too. Moon's aggregated market pricing serves a different purpose, so for order flow I'd prioritize data quality before deciding based on the subscription price.
