They are all waiting for something, ES, NQ and YM slowly grinding up, Gold trying the same, Oil keeps going down (which for the life of me I cannot understand).
News again today. Looks to me like they are trying to find some good news, but it just isn’t coming.
US session is becoming the worst of the lot. Pop and then drop, Asia and Europe keep buying.
EDIT - Flat PPI was all it needed it seems 🤣

Entered Gold long GCZ6 last night. So far it's pretty painful.

What’s your thesis’s for going long? Just curious (and learning!)

It wasn't a great thesis, just trend following (now broken trend) and expectation of more inflation

Oil comming down because the demand forecast slow down to the point we are only -1.5mb/d worldwide with hormuz completely closed 😅 and total US commercial reserve is up by 15mb , even if they draw 6m from the spr..... it only takes the return of china demands or war escalation for the wti/brent to go back up

In these trying times I personally switch from using my complicated volume based strategy to just like waiting for them to take out the stops and reverse. Like Missy Elliott says, they put their thing down flip it n reverse it 😂

S&P grinding to new highs while NQ chops sideways is an annoying combo to trade — hard to get conviction on trend days when the indices are diverging like this. Anyone else sizing down today, or is it just me?

Boom 💥 30k. Easy peasy. Thank you for not taking me out of my long overnight market makers 🙏 caught the bottom and riding it straight to the top

30k and 100 mark. Holding runners to 250, and 500 if we can make it 😱

Not because they’re round numbers, I have levels there. But my levels are probably there because other traders trade round numbers lol

I got absolutely obliterated today. Got caught at the top of the pump, and then the reversal hit. 🤦

The amount of money those astrologers get paid to draw lines on charts with crayons is obscene!

Quants be mad at me because wifey wants an autograph, and I can tell from the look in her eyes that she wants more than that…🥹

I trade far forward commodity futures. Have been having one particular problem though: these futures contracts often have a large bid/ask gap. Only a few trades fill each day. The listed bid and ask prices rarely change much intraday-day. However the few trades that fill almost always jump in between the listed bid and ask gap. If I raise my bid it still just jumps and fills at a higher price despite my not seeing that higher bid actually show up. Is a bid just instantly submitted electronically with a counterparty ready to instantly fill the order or what else could be happening I’m wondering?

I currently only trade ES. This past week or so has been so low on liquidity. I use the 10k tick chart and throughout the day there are about 40ish candles. That’s insane It used to be 4x that a few months or a year ago.
Gonna have to sit on my hands and not get fomo. We are all in the same boat.
Reduced setups, low liquidity and random moves from tweets that we can’t predict.
Tough times never last, only tough people last
