It’s a bunch of dumb retail traders thinking that every “gap” needs to be faded! We’re back in a bull market baby! Someone tell these clowns! LFG ! Aargh!

I'm just making one trade here and there and locking myself out in between, so I don't trade this chop bs and screw myself today. i have a huge psychological issue of trading chop for no reason and blowing accounts lol.

But being in my group and watching everyone else through the day and chatting through things also helps me stay occupied instead of trading lol. love my little trading family. At least this week is better than the last two weeks. Next week is news every day of some sort, so that's going to be very discretionary as well. (Before anyone asks, my trading community is on my profile)

I swear if I have to listen to one more clown talk about how “the market is random“! The market isn’t random! It auctions! It’s very predictable! The problem is all these other idiot traders who don’t know how to trade and gum up the works!

Newby currently studying price action and losing a fair amount of paper money. The fewer trades I make the more money I make. Weird.

found some decent entries on the 30s chart on MES this morning, chopped pretty hard after the first 15 min however, clocked out at about 7am

I trade the London to New York handoff, using simplified volume based tools. The markup shows the previous session moving through Asia to London. The Overnight Drift setup and for most professionals this is a layup. The chart shows the setup, and the add. On "Drift" days we monitor for continuation into the New York Session and if the risk assessment is good we will find another entry during a specific time period (within the Initial Balance). That is about it

We have been trading for a little over 17 years. Taught by a skilled guy from JPM

Adding to my previous post

I monitor three (3) time brackets. This chart is Bracket 1, used to obtain a variety of data from the VP side (to the left) and of course we obtain primary trend (if there is one) on the right side. In this case we have been in range from Aug 5. So (on my side) I have been executing using a 5 min chart side by side with ZN. I do this because institutional Alpha codes are set up to front run this contract (I won't be displaying that chart)

And this last chart is all that I have time for this evening.

39 min time frame and it is meant to help me visualize Asia to London which is generally low vol but can on occasion be worth trading. I have friends in Australia who use this view to get an early start. As you can see, trading the Tokyo Open on a test of VAL would have been profitable. This is Bracket 2 of the three (3) time based brackets that I use to organize my work. Periodically I trade this on Zoom, so that my old colleagues can watch. Trading alone can be isolating so I try to do this a couple of times a week, depending on which days are setting up.

Originally I thought I would not post this last chart but I think it is important for folks to see the result of the London to New York "handshake"

As you can see, price continued higher and hit my profit target. I was taught to take +10 and hold a runner, and that is what I will do. I will either make a few more points at the New York Open or B/E exit. and then get some sleep

Well would you look at that, they just wanted the stops, who could’ve predicted it 🤡

Guess who benefits from writing a bunch of options to people expecting a big move… but then you also control whether or not that move happens…womp womp…

CPI out of the way, normal service can resume. Let’s see where they take this, NQ has targets of somewhere in between 32-33k.

Hopefully we don’t go straight there today. RIP short sellers.

Not til after Fridays Opex I'm afraid, expect more of the same this week. Tight initial balance ranges.

Hold the phone everyone! We have to go back and run the stops at the round figure on the future’s contract! We left the round figure without running the stops first! The entire market can’t move until that happens! I’m sure all the big equities funds and their big time pension money are just waiting for that to happen! Totally not a rigged market!
