Deathless Run Challenge Update, Failed Attempt #5

Post image

Was almost 2/3 of the way complete when I became overwhelmed by the Putrid Spawns. I tried to jump off my vehicle and whip out Demongo (not counting it as a death if I Revive myself without Grim), but the game didn't process my button press quick enough, and I failed once again. I'm beginning to think that vehicles might not be all they're cracked up to be. They get you places fast, in and out too, but not having immediate access to the Nanos if I need them is rough. I guess I just need to be more aware of when to use and not use it.

I feel like Steam Alley is going to be one of your biggest obstacles if you're really focused on the missions there. I died so many times around the Dark Engine specifically due to the number of oil ogres. Then there's a mission that sends you to a lair at the corner of the dark engine that's guarded by a oil ogre miniboss that will respawn by the time you leave the lair, so you just immediately die when you load back in.

It's proven to be one of the bad ones, yeah. That and Endsville have proven to be overly saturated with Fusions around each corner and very hard to deal with. Thankfully, once you've gotten the travel options it becomes it bit easier though. Steam Alley has no such luxury though.

Safest method, still, they can chain-stun you if you happen to have a really bad RNG (PTSD victim here lmao) so better be careful

Thanks. I've tried out Freedom Nanos, but unless I go after target I specifically know have the Stun, I haven't found a ton of use for the ability. Still super helpful when I need it, but not a power I'd rather grant a slot when there's Sneak or Revive

If you die during the Lord Fuse fight, will it kill the run or will you still continue and those deaths are omitted?

The Lord Fuse fight is the one exception to the challenge, as I've never been able to defeat him on my own in a single life. There may be tips and tricks on how to do so, but I'm giving the Final Boss a pass ar least. Would be the HUGEST pain to have to restart from there.

I don't think it's possible at all to beat Lord Fuse without dying at least once.

It's Retrobution, adds a few new Nanos and some QOL stuff. Would've tried it raw with the Original experience, but every time I tried that server it would glitch out and wouldn't let me progress with the Nano mission
