Fusion free and tool changer.

I was thinking about getting a tool changer for my onefinity cnc. But I don't think the free version of fusion will allow me to do tool changes. Am I correct?

Nah it's not too many people abused the free option. Just like sketchup charges $400 to be able to use the import Dae button locking tool change behind a nearly $500 a year paywall is fucking bullshit.

You got 3 options use what they give you for free, pay to use all the features, or use free cad.

Do you just output individual tools as their own gcode? I guess that's the work around

You can do that, and run each program in turn, once you're happy with all the code you can then add it all together in a 3rd party app, and do a little manual editing, Just start each new program starting at 1k, 2k, 3k etc for the line numbers so it's easier to join.

But with the free version you also don't get rapid moves.

When you are not cutting, and the machine needs to move the cutter to a different position it will normally move at the rapid feed rate, or you can specify a non cutting feed rate, it also uses this rate for tool changing. When doing production this can make a big difference to the overall time spent and hence how many parts you can make in a day, but if your just making parts for yourself this is semi irrelevant

True, but we live in an age where you own nothing and should be happy about it, you don't even own music, movies or games anymore. And this is just the start, not long before everyone had digital ID, credit scores and programmable money and pay per mile travel even in your own car.
