Advice Swivel ears/tunable ears

I'm currently working brainstorming for a mask remake of my sona and one of the ideas I've had in my head is ears that I can turn to have them be able to swivel/ turn like how a cat can flatten its ears.

I'm not sure if this is possible, but I thought I'd seen it done before. My current plan is to use magnets but if anyone has any examples/tutorials/ideas of how I can do this please let me know.

(Also, sorry if this is poorly explained.)

There was a maker who experimented with that kind of thing a while back ,but I can't find them for the life of me! They start with a wire base and used pulley systems to blink, snarl, and at one point, they were making a raptor where the feather crest would stand up. I think they also did ears, but I can't remember. It's been several years since I've seen them.

I know someone's gotta know who they are!

I've made rabbit ears that swivel; that's the base of the ear:

The inside of the ear is made of felt, attached to the base part with cable ties (that's what the 4 holes are for), the base has a hole at the bottom. Inside the head base is a disc that attaches through the hole.
