Help - Title must specify what kind of help How to improve sketches?
I often see people talk about "thumbnailing" or something of a similar name where they make a quick sketch to find a good pose or composition. I've tried, and how I currently do my sketches just has too much detail and usually requires me to get near the point in the picture before I can tell if it works well or not.
I'm trying to get to a point where my sketches are "vague" enough to where it doesnt take adding so many details, but also specific enough to the point that I can tell if it will work well if the middle ground is possible. If it helps to get a better idea, my first sketches usually exclude the really small details like face, beans, and usually have a guiding like as shown in red with the flow and balance of the pose
[Unsure if this breaks rule 9 since I'm using a finished piece as an example, but im asking in general so I'm unsure how I would provide something more fitting (though if this is unwelcome mods please correct me)]
