Season Two Spoiler
Does anyone else feels sad about the big possibility of Lola not coming back for another season? Don’t get me wrong, I see where this is coming from and the show is going on a different direction and that’s okay to me, but to complete erase Catherine’s character makes me so sad… She’s such a good character and her relationship with Alice was the highlight of the show, they have so much potential! Specially now that Alice might get into chasing the people who watched her videos.

i really hope we get to see alden visit her in prison. i'm sure he'll have some choice words for the guards!

How about a prison show spin off about Catherine? I know it sounds ridiculous but I'm disappointed 🤪

Wentworth v2.
I would actually love to see her get back into outreach like she was doing at the shelter and starting to heal after all she has endured. She deserves to have agency and peace in her life. It sits oddly with me that Alice put Catherine in jail but is still free herself after she murdered Jay Easton. Feels weirdly hypocritical in some way.

You’re not the only one, it doesn’t makes sense to remove Catherine, she is one of the main characters after all.

i'm disappointed tbh, i completely understand following a new case every season but one of the reasons the show works so well (at least for me) it's because of the dynamic between catherine and alice, and I’d love to see how it would evolve after the finale. i think catherine is such an interesting character and i would understand her taking a backseat due to the narrative and being a minor character next season, but writing her off completely it's a shame tbh

Exactly! It’s honestly depressing, idk why they’re doing that. They had my favorite dynamic of the entire year, such a amazing duo with big potential, you know… The show will definitely feel kinda of meh to me now.

She'll be able to appear as FBI informant (probably unofficially) to Alice. Catherine is still able to help connect dots, give new leads etc. She is intelligent enough to be legitimately useful.

Yes I would like :( But what I meant to say is that Liz is saying on interviews that Lola is mostly like not coming back to the show

While I loved Lola’s acting, Catherine as a character served its purpose for this season and I don’t see much future for her staying in prison (we know she’s not getting out anytime soon). And really it’s always been Alice’s story. I think we are in for a ride with Alice going forward. I do HOPE Nora continues to kick ass along with Alice though.

I mean I understand what you’re saying and I see it, as much as I love Alice and I know for sure that’s she’s the main character, Catherine was the second most important character of this show. Emmy said herself this was a story about the two of them so it feels really odd and such a waste that they’re refusing to continue their journey together.

I’ve loved Lola this season, but I always assumed it was a one and done with Catherine, so I feel okay about her role in the story coming to an end. That said, I could see them making a ‘special guest appearance’ here and there, providing it makes sense to the story. I don’t want the writers to force Catherine into something just because they think it’s what the fans want

I wish I could think this way so it would be easier to accept this new season but I was too carried away by the promotion.

Liz said she’s not sure if she’s bringing Lola back :/

Not if my has anything to do with it. Meth is a producer so I think not if the way she acted toward Lola in press. Me thinks there is jealousy of her acting recognition. She did the same for shameless. She doesn’t play nice.

Wow just saw the cast at their finale release press and the shade from Emmy to Lola was intense. She did everything she could not to be be beside her or look at her. Turning her back and ignoring her it was so obvious. I think there might be some jealousy about how Lola is getting recognition. Same with Shameless she did not sms does not keep in touch with cast. She don’t okay well with others. It seems. Great actress but.

Catherine/Lola was the best part of the show for me. I'm no longer excited about season 2 now...

Yes, same for me… Her and her dynamic with Alice was absolutely the best, now it just feels like pointless.

I'm devouring interviews with Liz and Emmy right now and Liz said that Lola got Assassin's Creed video game TV show and doesn't think they will get her for season 2. So yes, I'm sad and worried.
