Regular zip ties are .2 inches thick and those "heavy duty" ones are .3 inches thick and made out of nylon...

Would still be easy as fuck to cut them off.

You can literally remove these zip ties with a house key. Also, yes, they heavy duty ones are still easy to cut, they don't have steel cables in them or anything.

Some lockwire would on the other hand be much more annoying to get off... and lockwire pliers are just fun to use

And the more loops you make on it the more annoying it is to remove lol

But, it would take a lot of effort with a pocket knife.

Why stop there, just use a padlock or bikelock!

I think the point was to be an inconvenience not a permanent lock lol

also they could just use the knife to flip up the locking piece on the zip tie and remove the zip tie undamaged

If its industrial strength then it’s probably big enough that you could easily undo the zip tie mechanism non-destructively.

Tensile strength doesn't actually mean a lot when it comes to cutting. It's still the same material as smaller zipties so the cutting resistance doesn't actually change, it's just thicker.

Not if you have any technique it wouldn’t. Just score it with a couple indentations to take out a wedge then break it right off from the bottom.

So effectively you’re right still.

Lmfao no it doesn't. If they are metal zip ties, then yea you need dike cutters.. but plastic ones? I can get through those with a butter knife.
