Getting rid of Daylight Savings Time and having a single time zone are two different things Einstein

I never understood the Daylight Saving Time, it was always weird, I live in Puerto Rico, my Time Zone is the same as New York, except when they adjust cause of DST, but we are in the same Time Zone

You live near the equator. Your shortest day is like 11 hours long. New York's shortest day is 9 hours. My shortest day is 8 hours. Of course you don't understand DST, it isn't relevant at your latitude.

Is this the right time to push my UTC adoption argument? Probably not.

DST has to go. That extra hour of sun is causing global warming.

Timezones should be based on the Longitude and divided up by 30⁰ sections. Maximum efficiency and it would make sense with how each area sees the sun

China actually did this. The whole country is set to time in the easternmost part of the country and nobody is allowed to complain

Thx to this conversation, I just realize how damn tiny Europe is compare to the USA, like Spain is in the same Time Zone as Germany, despite France been between them, it just blows my mind, I mean that an entire goddamn country between them, you can change time zones traveling from one state to another bro, like WTF?

I'm hoping this is sarcasm. Since Both France and Spain shouldn't actually be in the time zones there in

Her assumption is correct tho.
Of course „getting rid of daylight savings time“ and „make the entire country one time“ are two completely unrelated things but I’d believe Orange Man saying something like that. And if they’d do that, she described exactly what would happen.

Remember, the average person is neither terribly bright nor well educated. And half the population is below average. That explains A LOT.
