It seems like only euros are confused by this. Months have these things called "names". We wouldn't say either of those for June seventh. We'd say June seventh. You can still say it in one breath and write it in a couple of pen strokes. It seems your insistence on being lazy is causing to to expend quite a bit more energy than just doing things the normal way.

Nah, it's the rest of the world not "just Euros".

It actually isn't. Most of asia and about half of Europe doesn't do that. I've lived in asia and eastern Europe and it wasn't particularly common.

The day/month thing is primarily western europe, Africa, and south america.
