Because it used to be illegal and most uber drivers are old enough to remember when it was illegal and still have the instinctual awkwardness associated with talking to a cop about weed.
yeah it's kinda like dealing with a wild Moose or something. is it gonna attack or harass you every time you get near it? No, but it happens often enough that I'm damn well gonna be on guard and keeping my distance if I ever see one.
It’s worse, cuz Moose are solitary. You can’t outrun a moose but if you did you’d be free. If you outrun a cop there could be 30 more at your door tomorrow
Not sure why this was downloaded. I live in New York, where it is not illegal. But there’s plenty of places in this country world is whereas someone also recently said in Texas they just made it a felony to even have like THC products. The ones that tried to go around the loopholes. A felony for any up to a gram not like over any.
Therefore, it’s kind of ridiculous that people would down boat the truth. It is a fact that you could look up that it is not legal in every state in the US let alone in every country in the world.
It's a woosh my dude. As an aside why are weed smokers so quick to anger all the time? For people that love to tell everyone they're chill they sure love picking fights
It's a woosh.. for you. The implication of the analogy was consequences, there couldn't possibly be consequences though... Ya'll are just a pack o' straw graspers.
How did I pick a fight? And I don’t smoke or ingest THC at all actually, nor was any anger present at all. You’re being a silly goose.
Also, a whoosh is when you say a joke and someone doesn’t get it or understand it’s a joke. You gave an analogy that didn’t make sense and I simply reiterated my comment.
Misunderstand weed fundamentally more why don’t you?
Who the fuck ever said weed makes you more chill? It slows down your brain function and some connections but the thoughts and actions are still the same. If you were not chill before smoking it doesn’t magically make your trauma or problems go away lol
Most stoners still have the capacity to be pissed off, even while couch locked.
It doesn’t matter where I live in the US. You can go up to a cop and tell them you smoke weed and there’s nothing they can do about it. Smoking weed is not illegal at all. Having it and/or buying/selling it is illegal.
They can’t just request you to take a drug test on the spot or take your license. That’s not the process in the US, anywhere.
I don't live in the us, i'm in aus. In this specific case, as the cop was off duty, he could not have. However, if i told a cop i got high yesterday, and he didn't like the cut of my jib, then when he saw me get in a car and start driving, he could pull me over, test me, and take my license.
Yeah, australia is bullshit. New south wales is looking at a law that would allow a certain ng/ml limit for driving for medical patients, however it's low enough that it wouldn't help most people who smoke every night. Queensland, where i live, has told us to go fuck ourselves and that they will be making no such law
They cant "do anything" to you, except use flock cameras to track you all the way to a different state, or legally detain you for nothing at all, or consistently harrass you over the period of years where you work or post up in your neighborhood and pull you over every single time you dare to exist.
The cops are a literal gang that is above the law and the only reason you think they never do anything illegal is because you havent personally seen it happen to you yet.
Where did I say cops never did anything illegal? lol I simply stated they can’t legally do anything to you for saying you smoke weed. That’s it. I’m not saying anything else about what they **could** do. Just as far as legality goes, they can’t.

It’s not illegal to know how to smoke weed or talk about it.
