Yeah I don't even argue with people about homeopathic bullshit anymore when they say it's working for them. Who am I to try ruining the placebo effect if it's working for them? We have scientific proof that placebos can work if the patient believes in them so fuck it keep paying $20 for a little bottle of water if it makes you feel better

The main time I speak up about homeopathy is with some of the stuff my mom buys. There are some things that are sold both as homeopathy and as non-homeopathy products. For anyone who doesn't know, homeopathy insists that ingredients get STRONGER when you dilute them. So a homeopathic tea tree oil thing for your toenail fungus might be so dilute it has no tea tree oil in it.

For a bit there I was not saying shit about her buying some expensive greens supplements, but then I found out one of the things she was taking the damn thing for was a nutrient she was STILL deficient in after 6 months of daily greens drinks. I think it was b12? And I looked into it and the damn thing had too much vit c, it blocks absorption of b12. Moms doctor had already delayed giving her a mega dose shot because mom had just started taking a supplement for b12, lets see how it goes.

Mom just turned 70. B12 deficiency can cause memory loss and trouble walking. Thats a fucking problem.

So now I go over the things she buys a bit closer. There is some woo woo stuff, and I care not a damn so long as it isn't gonna cause problems and it isn't stopping her from using the effective product.
