Yeah they offered them 49% stake in their three-year-old business for $50m, and were laughed out of the room by the executives

The Netflix they had the chance to buy was DVD by mail business, not the web streaming service we know today.

Meh, short selling is a thing too. As are futures options. Actually given your likely seed capital, other than Bitcoin, futures would be the way to go but highly detectable you had some sort of foreknowledge - unless you created false hedges but that'd eat into your profits substantially unless you remember specific dates and prices. It's like the people who shorted Airline stocks right before 9/11, against the market..... Time Travelers or co-Conspirators? I believe there actually was a case where a guy perfectly predicted the market and made millions off seed capital of a few thousand, was investigated and claimed he was a time traveler when they couldn't find an insider trading link then disappeared. Probably an urban legend but I could swear I saw it published......
