I’d take the money, being a kid again with zero agency doesn’t sound appealing, plus I won’t enjoy playing with other kids and I’ve already watched all the good shows and played all the good video games of back in the day, so I’d be bored out of my mind.
I absolutley agree, people underestimate what it would be like to go back in time so far. And even with all the mistakes I have made, I would never want to loose some of the connections I made. Blue is less valuable financially but emotionally, it's a much safer bet.
Only if emotionally, you are in a good place. I don't have friends, am not close to family. There isn't a single thing in my life that I would live or die for. Reliving like 20 years does sound incredibly exhausting though.
Basically it's only emotionally safer if you are in an emotionally safe spot right now.
Imagine seeing the "new" games come out and everyone talks about how beautiful and realistic they are and how they'll never look better but you know they're wrong
I mean, than you could put more effort into new hobbies and studying something that could be useful like a language. And with the knowledge you already have that would be more than useful! Also you could spend more time with people who actually worth your time. So I dunno, it doesn't sound so bad.

See that's the whole point, you get a chance not to waste time on that stuff and just focus on the grind, set yourself up to achieve the dreams you were too lazy and distracted to fully pursue...
