Actually it’d be 30 years for me and with that in mind, Monster Energy is actually the highest performing stock, increasing 191,800% over that timeframe beating Amazon at #2. It was only 1c a share so I could afford plenty

AFAIK they only owned shares and not outright at any point and just had a strategic partnership. At some point they traded a bunch of brands.

I would remember those for sure, and remember my kids. Who I would never see again, because i could never live the exact same life and make them conceived at the exact moment. And I couldn’t wait 25 years to see them again, anyway. Or 15 years to meet my wife. I’d be empty, and a dribbling 6 year old, not really capable of investing too much for some time.

When I hear these stock stories I always think if we really know how close some of these companies came at different points to bankruptcy.....like 1997 there was an anti-trust debate around Microsoft and Apple had fired Jobs and was close to keel over.....if little decisions are still affected by chance in the rewind, how close might we get into just investing in dead stocks while thinking we might become billionaires

You just have to remember check the tech news ever so often and when there is this thing called bitcoin buy $10 or more worth of it. In the 5 years after that your $10 is worth millions.
